Shoals Christian completed the 2016 season with a 4-7 record. With their 3-3 region record and a fourth place finish in Class 1A region eight, the Flame earned a spot in the playoffs in 2016. Shoals Christian's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Addison by a score of 63-20. It marked the first time since the 2013 season that the Flame qualified for the playoffs. Since 2010, Shoals Christian has gone a combined 33-44. Their 43.0% winning percentage ranks 33rd in Class 1A over the past seven seasons. Over the past 19 seasons, Shoals Christian has managed to compile a record of 86-101. Their 46.0% winning percentage ranks 31st in Class 1A and 236th in the AHSAA. The Flame are led by head coach Patrick Malone who is entering his second season at the helm.
